Venue
The UCC 2018 and BDCAT 2018 conferences and their co-located workshops and satellite events will be held at the Technopark Zurich,
a vibrant building with university institutes, startups, incubators and numerous research and innovation opportunities.
Selected satellite events are going to take place in the adjacent Toni-Areal building
of Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
The venue is located centrally in Zurich, reachable within minutes from the central train station and within less than half an hour from the airport.
Social Events
On December 17, a reception is offered to all attendees. The reception takes place on a cruising ship on Lake Zurich. Enjoy the skyline of the city while discussing the results of the workshops and tutorials held during the day.
On December 19, all participants are invited to the conference dinner which will take place in the Zunfthaus zur Schmiden,
a historic building built in 1412 in the old town of Zurich to gather blacksmiths and different professions.
Extra reception and dinner tickets for accompanying persons can be purchased during registration.
Hotels
Several hotels of diverse price categories are located in direct neighbourhood to the venue. Some of the hotels offer conference rates until November 15. Early booking is recommended.
Please plan your stay including Dec 21 if you plan on attending ESSCA after the conference which is free of charge
for registered UCC/BDCAT participants.

For visa and immigration information, please consult with the responsible Swiss consular section for your place of residence. Generally, you will need access to the Schengen travel area. More information about it can be found on the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs website. You will need an invitation letter from the conference organisers. Instructions for obtaining visa support letters are given as part of the registration process.
